Peter Newell
Peter Newell (1862–1924) was an American author and illustrator known for his inventive and humorous children's books. He is best known for his whimsical works such as "The Hole Book" (1908) and "The Slant Book" (1910), where creative illustrations interact with the text in playful ways. Newell's style often involved clever visual gags and interactive elements, making him a pioneer in children's literature and visual storytelling. In addition to books, he contributed illustrations to popular magazines of the time, including "Harper's Bazaar" and "The Saturday Evening Post".
