Hawre Qandil
Hawrê Qandil is a Kurdish researcher, writer, and historian from Southern Kurdistan whose work focuses on Kurdish identity, history, and cultural heritage. Across more than thirty-five years of research, he has dedicated his work to documenting and preserving Kurdish historical and national identity. His writings emphasise the connection between people, culture, and the natural environment of Kurdistan, highlighting the importance of protecting its land, mountains, rivers, forests, and wildlife as part of preserving national heritage. Qandil also explores themes of self-determination, equality, justice, and the future of Kurdistan.
