Robert Elliott Flickinger
Robert Elliott Flickinger was an American writer and historian, best known for documenting the history of education and early pioneer life. He authored several works, including "The Choctaw Freedmen and the Story of Oak Hill Industrial Academy," which detailed the experiences of African American freedmen in the Choctaw Nation. Flickinger also wrote "The Pioneer History of Pocahontas County, Iowa," a comprehensive account of the early settlers and development of the region. His works are valuable sources of information about the social and educational history of 19th-century America.
