Marcel Allain
Marcel Allain was a French writer best known for co-creating the iconic crime fiction series "Fantômas" with his collaborator, Pierre Souvestre. Born in 1885 in Paris, Allain worked as a journalist before diving into novel writing. After Souvestre's death in 1914, Allain continued the "Fantômas" series on his own, producing over 30 additional novels. The character of Fantômas became a cultural phenomenon, influencing various forms of media including films, comics, and theater.
