William Stevens Balch

William Stevens Balch
William Stevens Balch (1806–1887) was an American Universalist minister, journalist, and author. He is best known for his works promoting Universalist theology and social reform. Among his notable publications is "Lectures on Language," which discusses the principles of language and grammar. Balch was also the editor of the "Christian Freeman," a Universalist periodical that played a significant role in spreading liberal religious ideas in the 19th century.
