William P. McGivern
William Peter McGivern was an American novelist and screenwriter known for his crime and mystery fiction. Born in 1918, he wrote numerous novels, including "The Big Heat" and "Odds Against Tomorrow," both of which were adapted into successful films. McGivern's writing often explored themes of corruption, moral ambiguity, and the darker side of human nature. In addition to novels, he also wrote for television and film, contributing to the noir genre's legacy.
