William Milligan Sloane
William Milligan Sloane (1850–1928) was an American historian and educator known for his expertise in European history, particularly in the field of Napoleon Bonaparte. He authored "The Life of Napoleon Bonaparte," a widely regarded four-volume biography of the French emperor. Sloane was also instrumental in founding the American Historical Association and served as its president in 1911. Additionally, he held a long tenure as a professor at Princeton University, where he contributed significantly to the academic study of history.
