Walter Runciman
Walter Runciman (1870–1949) was a British shipowner, politician, and author. He wrote several books on maritime history, including "The Tragedy of St. Helena," a detailed account of Napoleon Bonaparte's exile, and "The White Rajahs," which explored the history of the Brooke dynasty in Sarawak. His writings often focused on historical and political themes, reflecting his interests as a public figure. Runciman was also elevated to the peerage as the 1st Viscount Runciman of Doxford, contributing to his prominence in both political and literary circles.
