Among his notable works are "The White Hecatomb" (1897), a collection of short stories, and "A Vendetta of the Desert" (1898), a novel set in the Karoo region. Scully's autobiography, "Reminiscences of a South African Pioneer" (1913), offers vivid insights into his experiences during the early years of South African colonialism.
