Timothy Titcomb
Timothy Titcomb was the pen name of Josiah Gilbert Holland, an American novelist, poet, and essayist in the 19th century. Holland was known for his sentimental and moralistic writing, often addressing themes of personal virtue and success. He gained popularity through works like "Letters to the Young" and "Gold-Foil," which provided advice and reflections on life, particularly for young people. Holland also co-founded "Scribner's Monthly" magazine, later renamed "The Century Magazine", which became an influential literary periodical in America.
