Sven Anders Hedin
Sven Anders Hedin (1865–1952) was a Swedish explorer, geographer, and prolific writer, best known for his extensive travels in Central Asia. He undertook numerous expeditions, mapping unknown territories and conducting scientific research in regions like Tibet, the Himalayas, and the Silk Road. Hedin's most famous works include "Through Asia" (1898) and "Trans-Himalaya" (1909–1912), where he detailed his adventurous journeys. Despite his significant contributions to geography, his political views, including early support for Nazi Germany, remain controversial.
