Samuel R. (Samuel Roberts) Wells
Samuel Roberts Wells was an American phrenologist and author, active in the mid-19th century. He was best known for his works on phrenology, a pseudoscience focused on studying the shape of the skull to determine mental traits. Among his notable books are "How to Read Character" and "New Physiognomy." Wells was a key figure in promoting phrenology through his writings and lectures, and he also ran a successful publishing business specializing in self-help and scientific literature.
