Samual Hall Young
Samuel Hall Young (1847–1927) was an American clergyman, author, and explorer best known for his close friendship with naturalist John Muir. He played a significant role in promoting conservation in Alaska, where he worked as a missionary. Young documented his adventurous experiences in the wilderness in several works, including "Alaska Days with John Muir" (1915), which reflects on his travels with Muir through the Alaskan frontier. His writings provide insights into early environmentalism and the natural beauty of the Alaskan landscape.
