Russell Doubleday
Russell Doubleday (1872–1949) was an American author, editor, and publisher, best known for his involvement with the publishing company Doubleday & McClure, co-founded by his brother Frank N. Doubleday. He gained early recognition as an author with his book "A Gunner Aboard the Yankee" (1898), which detailed his experiences serving in the Spanish-American War. He also worked as an editor for the magazine "The World's Work" and contributed significantly to the success of his family's publishing house. Throughout his career, he combined his literary talents with his editorial and business acumen, influencing American publishing in the early 20th century.
