Richard Hakluyt
Richard Hakluyt (1553-1616) was an English writer and geographer renowned for promoting and documenting the early English explorations and colonial ventures in the Americas. He is best known for his works "The Principal Navigations, Voyages, Traffiques, and Discoveries of the English Nation," which compiled detailed accounts of voyages and explorations undertaken by English mariners. His extensive writings significantly influenced English colonial policy and played a key role in fostering an era of exploration and expansion for England.
