Phillips Brooks
Phillips Brooks (1835–1893) was an American Episcopal clergyman and author, best known for his eloquent sermons and religious writings. He is most famous for penning the Christmas carol "O Little Town of Bethlehem" in 1868. Brooks served as rector of Trinity Church in Boston and later became the Bishop of Massachusetts. Among his notable works are "Lectures on Preaching" and "Sermons," which showcase his influential theological views and mastery of the English language.
