Peter Christen Asbjornsen
Peter Christen Asbjørnsen (1812–1885) was a Norwegian writer, scholar, and collector of folklore. He is best known for his collaboration with Jørgen Moe in collecting and publishing Norwegian folktales, notably in "Norske Folkeeventyr" ("Norwegian Folktales"), first published in 1841. Asbjørnsen's work played a key role in preserving Norway's cultural heritage and shaping its national identity. In addition to folktales, he also wrote scientific works, particularly on forestry and natural history.
