Lester Chadwick
Lester Chadwick was a pen name used by Howard Roger Garis, an American author known for his children's and young adult books. He is best known for writing the "Baseball Joe" series, which followed the adventures of Joe Matson, a young baseball player aiming for success. The series, including titles like "Baseball Joe of the Silver Stars" and "Baseball Joe on the School Nine," was published in the early 20th century and appealed to young sports fans. Garis also wrote the "Bobby Blake" series under the same pseudonym.
