Jesse Lyman Hurlbut
Jesse Lyman Hurlbut (1843–1930) was an American Methodist clergyman and author known for his influential works on Bible studies and Christian education. He is best recognized for writing "Hurlbut's Story of the Bible", a popular children's Bible storybook that simplified biblical narratives for younger audiences. Hurlbut's contributions to religious literature and his role in promoting Sunday school education left a lasting impact on Christian teaching in the United States.
