James J. Walsh
James J. Walsh was an American physician and author known for his works on medical history and science. He wrote extensively on the influence of the Catholic Church on the development of Western medicine, blending history, theology, and science in his writings. Some of his notable works include "The Popes and Science" and "The Thirteenth, Greatest of Centuries." Walsh was also a strong advocate for the contributions of Catholic scholars to the advancement of science during the Middle Ages.
