George William Russell
George William Russell (1867–1935) was an Irish writer, poet, and painter who often wrote under the pseudonym "Æ." He was a prominent figure in the Irish Literary Revival, closely associated with W.B. Yeats and other Irish nationalists. Russell's work blended mysticism, spirituality, and Irish mythology, reflecting his interest in theosophy and the occult. In addition to his literary contributions, he was also an editor and an advocate for agricultural reform in Ireland.
