George Robert Stowe Mead
George Robert Stowe Mead (1863–1933) was a British scholar and writer, known for his contributions to the study of Gnosticism and Hermeticism. He was a prominent member of the Theosophical Society and served as a personal secretary to Helena Blavatsky, a key figure in the Theosophical movement. Mead's works, such as "Fragments of a Faith Forgotten" and "Thrice Greatest Hermes," focused on early Christian and mystical traditions. He also founded the Quest Society in 1909, aimed at promoting the study of philosophy, religion, and esotericism.
