George Lunt
George Lunt (1803–1885) was an American lawyer, poet, editor, and writer known for his contributions to literature and journalism in the 19th century. He authored several works of poetry and essays, with notable publications including "Lyric Poems" and "The Origin of the Late War," which explored political and social themes of his time, especially related to the American Civil War. As an editor, he contributed to influential periodicals like "The Boston Courier" and "The Boston Daily Advertiser". Lunt's writing reflected his Federalist beliefs, and he was a vocal critic of abolitionism, supporting conservative political causes.
