Frederic Mayer Bird
Frederic Mayer Bird (1838–1908) was an American clergyman, hymnist, and writer. He is best known for his contributions to hymnody, translating German hymns into English and editing hymn collections. Bird wrote several theological and musical works, including "Songs of the Spirit" and "Hymns of the Reformation". He was also a significant figure in the Episcopal Church, serving as a rector in several parishes during his career.
