Elizabeth Cabot Cary Agassiz
Elizabeth Cabot Cary Agassiz (1822–1907) was an American educator, writer, and naturalist known for her work in science and education. She co-authored several books on marine biology and natural history, including "Seaside Studies in Natural History" with her husband, the renowned scientist Louis Agassiz. Elizabeth was a key figure in founding Radcliffe College, serving as its first president, where she advocated for women's education. Her writings and efforts significantly contributed to the popularization of natural sciences in the 19th century.
