Edward Salisbury Field (1878–1936) was an American writer, playwright, and screenwriter. He began his career as a newspaper cartoonist before turning to writing novels and plays, including "A Six Cylinder Courtship" and "Wedding Bells." Field also worked in Hollywood during the silent film era, contributing scripts for various productions. He was known for his wit and lighthearted romantic comedies, reflecting the style of early 20th-century American theater and cinema.
