Edward Gaylord Bourne
Edward Gaylord Bourne (1860–1908) was an influential American historian known for his work on early American and Spanish colonial history. He was a professor at Yale University, where he significantly contributed to the study of exploration and colonization. Bourne's most notable work, "Spain in America," published in 1904, became a key reference for understanding Spain’s role in the discovery and settlement of the Americas. He also edited important historical texts, such as "The Northmen, Columbus and Cabot," which furthered scholarly understanding of early exploration.
