David Nunes Carvalho
David Nunes Carvalho was a 19th-century American writer and expert on handwriting analysis, particularly in the context of forgery detection. He authored the influential book "Forty Centuries of Ink" (1904), which explored the history and chemistry of ink, as well as the forensic use of ink in detecting fraudulent documents. Carvalho was frequently called upon as an expert witness in court cases involving document forgery and ink analysis. His work laid the foundation for modern forensic document examination, blending historical scholarship with practical applications in law.
