Conrad von Bolanden
Conrad von Bolanden, the pen name of Joseph Eduard Konrad Bischoff, was a German Catholic priest and prolific novelist in the 19th century. He is known for his historical and religious novels, which often depicted the struggles of the Catholic Church in Europe. Some of his notable works include "Der Hausschatz des Katholiken" (The Catholic's Household Treasure) and "Das Buch der Liebe" (The Book of Love). His writings were highly popular in German-speaking Catholic communities and were used to defend Catholicism during the Kulturkampf, a period of conflict between the Catholic Church and the German government.
