B. West (Benjamin West) Clinedinst
Benjamin West Clinedinst (1859–1931) was an American illustrator and painter known for his detailed and realistic style. He was a popular illustrator for books and magazines in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, contributing to works like "The Virginian" by Owen Wister. Clinedinst was also a founding member of the Society of Illustrators in New York. In addition to his illustrations, he painted portraits and historical scenes, earning recognition for his ability to capture the nuances of human expressions and settings.
