William Radcliff Birt
William Radcliff Birt (1804–1881) was an English astronomer and writer known for his work in lunar studies. He collaborated with prominent astronomer John Herschel and became a key figure in British astronomy during the 19th century. Birt wrote several works, including "The Handbook of the Stars," and contributed to the study of meteorology and atmospheric phenomena. His most notable research focused on lunar craters, and he was associated with the British Association for the Advancement of Science.
