William Hope Hodgson
William Hope Hodgson was an English author known for his contributions to early 20th-century horror and science fiction literature. Born in 1877, Hodgson's works often explore themes of the supernatural, the sea, and the unknown, blending horror with speculative fiction. His most famous novel, "The House on the Borderland" (1908), is a surreal tale that has influenced many later writers in the genre. Hodgson also created the character Carnacki, a detective who investigates occult mysteries, featured in "Carnacki, the Ghost-Finder" (1913).
