Walter Bigges
Walter Bigges was a prominent English mariner and writer known for his contributions to Elizabethan-era maritime literature. He is most famous for his work on the book "A Summary of the Antiquities and History of Peru," which chronicles Sir Francis Drake's voyages during his circumnavigation of the globe in the late 16th century. Bigges served as an officer in Drake's fleet and recorded detailed observations of their expeditions, battles, and encounters with other cultures. His writings offer a valuable historical perspective on England’s naval exploits during the Age of Exploration.
