W. Riley
Willie Riley (1866–1961) was a British author best known for his novels set in the Yorkshire Dales, capturing the charm and character of rural life. His most famous book, "Windyridge" (1912), became a bestseller, drawing readers into the quaint world of a young woman's experiences in a Yorkshire village. Riley wrote over 30 novels throughout his career, many of them imbued with a sense of regional pride and moral lessons.
