T. W. H. (Thomas William Hodgson) Crosland
Thomas William Hodgson Crosland (1865–1924) was a British writer, poet, and journalist known for his critical works and satirical writings. He authored books such as "The Unspeakable Scot" and "The Egregious English," which humorously critiqued national stereotypes. Crosland was also a close friend and biographer of poet Richard Middleton, with whom he shared a deep literary connection. His writing was often controversial, marked by a biting wit and sometimes a harsh tone, earning him both admiration and criticism.
