Susan Glaspell
Susan Glaspell (1876-1948) was an influential American playwright, novelist, and journalist, often considered a pioneer of modern feminist literature. She co-founded the Provincetown Players, a key organization in the development of American drama, alongside her husband George Cram Cook. Glaspell is best known for her play "Trifles" (1916) and the short story "A Jury of Her Peers" (1917), both of which explore themes of gender and justice. Her work has been celebrated for its incisive critique of societal norms and its nuanced portrayal of women's experiences.
