Samuel Lover
Samuel Lover (1797–1868) was an Irish novelist, songwriter, and artist known for his contributions to literature and music, as well as his depictions of Irish life. He wrote popular novels such as "Rory O'More" and "Handy Andy," both filled with humor and lively characters. Lover was also a talented musician, composing songs like "The Angel's Whisper" and "The Low-Backed Car." His multifaceted career included work as a painter, and his illustrations often accompanied his writings.
