S. (Sabine) Baring-Gould
Sabine Baring-Gould (1834–1924) was an English hagiographer, antiquarian, novelist, and eclectic scholar known for his diverse literary contributions, which include the hymn "Onward, Christian Soldiers." His extensive works cover topics ranging from folklore and history to theology and fiction. Baring-Gould's passion for preserving and documenting cultural heritage is evident in his numerous publications on regional myths, legends, and traditional songs.
