Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell Baden-Powell of Gilwell
Robert Baden-Powell was a British Army officer and the founder of the global Scouting movement. He is best known for his book "Scouting for Boys" (1908), which laid the foundation for the Boy Scouts and emphasized outdoor activities, self-reliance, and leadership skills. Baden-Powell also wrote several other books, including "Aids to Scouting" (1899), which was initially intended for military use but inspired the creation of Scouting for youth. His legacy continues through the millions of Scouts and Guides worldwide, who follow the principles he introduced.
