Rick Raphael
Rick Raphael was an American science fiction writer, primarily known for his works during the 1960s. His most famous works include the novella "Code Three," which was about futuristic highway patrolmen, and "The Thirst Quenchers," dealing with ecological disasters. Raphael frequently focused on stories about competent professionals handling technological and social challenges. In addition to his science fiction, he worked as a journalist for various newspapers and was known for blending his journalistic style into his fiction writing.
