Owen Meredith
Owen Meredith was the pen name of Robert Bulwer-Lytton, an English diplomat, poet, and novelist of the 19th century. The son of novelist Edward Bulwer-Lytton, he published works that explored themes of romance, social issues, and the exotic. Among his best-known works is the poetry collection "Lucile," a novel in verse written in 1860 that was highly popular for its romantic and adventurous themes. Lytton also served as Viceroy of India, an experience that influenced much of his later poetry, including "The Wanderer" and "Glenaveril."
