Mary Greene Blumenschein
Mary Greene Blumenschein (1869–1958) was an American author and artist known for her contributions to children's literature and art. She co-authored the book "The Story of Ramon and Sabina," which reflected her interest in the Southwest, where she lived for part of her life. Blumenschein was also part of an artistic family; her husband, Ernest L. Blumenschein, was a prominent painter and one of the founders of the Taos Society of Artists. Her work is remembered for its vivid depictions of Southwestern culture and landscapes.
