Lawrence J. (Lawrence Johnstone) Burpee
Lawrence Johnstone Burpee (1873–1946) was a Canadian librarian, historian, and author known for his contributions to Canadian history and literature. He authored several books, including "The Discovery of Canada" and "An Historical Atlas of Canada," which provided valuable insights into Canada's development. Burpee also played a significant role in promoting the preservation of Canadian cultural heritage through his work with the Canadian Historical Association and the Royal Society of Canada. In addition to writing, he was a strong advocate for the creation of a national library in Canada.
