John Meade Falkner
John Meade Falkner (1858–1932) was an English novelist, poet, and businessman known for his adventure novels and historical fiction. His most famous works include "Moonfleet," a classic tale of smuggling set in 18th-century England, and "The Nebuly Coat," a mystery novel set in a small cathedral town. Besides his literary career, Falkner was also a successful businessman, serving as the chairman of the arms manufacturer Armstrong Whitworth. Despite his corporate achievements, he continued writing and became a respected figure in English literature.
