Jessie Willcox Smith
Jessie Willcox Smith (1863–1935) was a prolific American illustrator and artist, renowned for her work in children's books and magazines. Her enchanting illustrations appeared in popular works such as "A Child's Garden of Verses" by Robert Louis Stevenson and "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott. Smith was a prominent member of the Red Rose Girls, a group of women artists based in Philadelphia. She became one of the most influential illustrators of the early 20th century, admired for her tender portrayals of children and domestic scenes.
