Jean Katherine Baird is a Canadian writer known for her work in literary editing and her advocacy for literacy and writers' rights. She co-edited the anthology "The Heart Does Break: Canadian Writers on Grief and Mourning" with George Bowering, which features essays from prominent Canadian authors reflecting on loss. Baird is also the founder of the Project Bookmark Canada initiative, which aims to place commemorative plaques at literary locations across the country.
