James Francis Cooke
James Francis Cooke was an American author, music educator, and editor, born in 1875. He is best known for his contributions to music education through his role as editor of "The Etude" music magazine, where he served from 1909 to 1949. Cooke wrote several influential books on music, including "Great Singers on the Art of Singing" and "Standard History of Music." His work greatly influenced both music pedagogy and public appreciation of classical music during his time.
