J. M. (James Maurice) Wilson
James Maurice Wilson (1836–1931) was an English writer, mathematician, and theologian, known for his contributions to both education and religious discourse. Educated at Cambridge, he was a respected figure in academia, eventually becoming headmaster of Clifton College and later a canon of Worcester Cathedral. His works often explored themes of science and religion, as seen in his notable book "The Truths of Revelation: From an Evolutionist’s Standpoint," where he sought to harmonize evolutionary theory with Christian beliefs. Additionally, he published "Elementary Geometry" and other mathematical texts that were widely used in educational settings.
