Horace Petherick
Horace Petherick (1839–1919) was an English artist, illustrator, and author, known for his expertise on violins. He wrote extensively on the subject, contributing to works like "Antonio Stradivari" and "Joseph Guarnerius, His Work and His Master." Petherick was also a skilled violin restorer and collector, and his writings helped to popularize knowledge about fine violins. In addition to his books, he illustrated works by notable authors such as Charles Dickens and created art for several Victorian publications.
