Henry Mills Alden
Henry Mills Alden was an American author and editor, best known for his long tenure as editor of "Harper's Magazine" from 1869 to 1919. He significantly influenced American literature and culture by fostering the work of many notable writers. Alden also authored several works, including "God in His World" (1890), which reflected his interest in religion and philosophy. His editorial leadership helped "Harper's Magazine" become one of the most prestigious literary publications in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
